I am what I like to call an amateur cook. And by amateur, I mean that I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing but every once in a while, in my random combinations, I hit a winner. In my humble opinion, this pretty smoothie bowl is a winner (at least in my house, for me). Bonus: literally all you have to do is throw things in a blender then transfer to a bowl. Fits my skill set perfectly! I call it a Happy Smoothie Bowl (as of 5 seconds ago) because not only is the color pretty nice, but I throw some good for you things in there that makes me feel like I’m doing my body some good.
-
1 handful frozen mango cubes
-
1/2 frozen banana
-
1 handful frozen blueberries
-
1 packet of frozen dragon fruit (I use PitayaPlus)
-
1/4 cup almond milk or other liquid of your choice (you might have to add a little more for your desired consistency)
In addition, I add in a small scoop of the following to give it a little extra boost:
Toss it all in a blender (I love my Vitamix) and blend it up until it smooths out but doesn’t get too liquidy. Then transfer it to a bowl and add any toppings you like. I’m partial to coconut shavings, granola, bleuberries, and a little honey.
DONE!
